Frequently asked questions

How does the rebooking engine know when to remind a customer?

Each pet has a grooming frequency (set from its breed by default, override-able per pet). The engine watches for pets whose last completed booking + frequency lands within the reminder window (default 7 days out). Customers who already have an upcoming booking are auto-skipped, so we don't pester regulars.

Can I customize the rebooking message?

Yes. The default copy is editable per channel (email, SMS, WhatsApp). Add a coupon, change the tone, target by customer segment.

Will customers be spammed if they have multiple pets due the same day?

No. The system dedupes by customer — Sarah's two pets due the same day produce one reminder mentioning both pets, not two separate messages.

What's a customer segment, and how does it differ from a list?

A segment is a rule-based grouping that updates automatically. Define rules like "spend > $500 AND pet type = Dog AND last visit < 60 days" — the segment auto-updates as customer data changes. Lists are static; segments are alive.

How does the referral program work?

Each customer gets a unique referral link they can share. New customers signing up via that link credit the referrer. Both sides get a configurable reward (credit, discount, or percentage). The referral dashboard tracks top referrers and revenue attributed.

Can I run a discount campaign without changing my prices?

Yes. Create a coupon code with the discount type, amount, usage limits, and expiry. Customers paste the code during the public booking flow. The booking is logged with the coupon used, so you see exactly which campaigns drove revenue.
