MoeGo Review 2026: An Honest Look for Groomers

November 4, 2026•6 min read

MoeGo is a capable, grooming-specific platform with strong ratings. Users praise its scheduling and support, but complain about text costs, speed and price. Here's who it suits.

Yes, MoeGo is good software for groomers. It's built specifically for grooming, and its ratings are strong. The same complaints do keep coming up, though: paying for texts, a price that feels high for a small business, slowness on the road, and support that some long-term users say has slipped. Whether it's right for you depends mostly on your size and whether you're mobile.

Two things you should know before trusting this review. We make ThePetsMonk, a competing product, so we have an interest here. And we haven't run a salon on MoeGo. This is based on MoeGo's own documentation and on what its users have published, read on November 4, 2026. Weigh it accordingly, and try MoeGo yourself before deciding.

MoeGo's ratings are good overall, including 4.6 out of 5 from 297 ratings on Apple's App Store. A score alone won't tell you whether it fits your business, so the rest of this review looks at what it does and what users say. We've quoted only App Store reviews, because that's the one review source we could read in full.

What MoeGo does well

It's built for grooming. That's the point its happy users make first. One App Store reviewer who'd hesitated over the price tried several platforms and concluded: "It was made specifically for groomers." That's a real advantage over general booking apps.

Scheduling has real depth. MoeGo lets online clients book by time, by slot, or by sending a request you schedule later. In the salon-only slot mode, a slot represents capacity rather than duration, which suits drop-off salons that take dogs in waves. Short services such as nail trims can be marked slot-free so they don't use up capacity. On salon plans, slot-based management is listed from Growth.

Mobile is a serious focus. MoeGo has dedicated mobile plans, and route optimization rearranges a day's appointments by driving time and distance. Smart Schedule is included from Basic, and MoeGo lists route optimization from Growth. This is one area where we openly say it's ahead of us.

It goes further as you grow. Commission and payroll, shift management, multi-location sync and franchise tooling are all there on the higher plans.

Many users rate the support highly. "The customer service is top notch," wrote one App Store reviewer. Others single out having someone available around the clock. See below for the other side of this.

What users complain about

Most of these are drawn from the ten App Store reviews displayed on the day we read them. That's a small sample chosen by Apple, not a survey, so treat them as themes to ask about rather than proof of how often something happens.

Paying for texts. This is the most consistent complaint, and it appears in reviews that are otherwise positive. A reviewer who likes the app wrote that they "have to constantly buy text messages from MoeGo and they are expensive." Another, who said they were satisfied overall, felt the SMS charges were "an additional income stream." Our MoeGo pricing breakdown shows how credits get used up.

Price for what you use. The reviewer who praised it as made for groomers still called it "much more expensive than other booking apps available." A less satisfied one called it "heavily OVERPRICED for what it does."

Speed, especially on the road. One mobile groomer with three years on the platform wrote that "you have to pull over for an HOUR until the app catches up." That's one person's experience, and an extreme way of putting it, but slowness comes up elsewhere too. If you're mobile, test it where your signal is worst.

Support that varies. The same three-year user wrote that "support is unavailable for long time users," a sharp contrast to the praise above. We can't tell you which is typical. Positive support reviews displayed were mostly from 2021 to 2023, while this one is among the most recent, but ten reviews is too few to call that a trend.

Individual bugs. One reviewer reported grooming notes being "randomly DELETED," and that moving a recurring appointment "moves every appointment that has already occurred as well." We can't verify these, and one report doesn't make a pattern. If notes matter to you, and they should, ask MoeGo about them directly.

Limits worth checking

These come from MoeGo's own material rather than from complaints:

  • Online booking handles up to two pets per request in slot mode. Larger households have to contact you.
  • Salon Basic stops at two team members, and mobile Basic at one.
  • Outside card systems don't integrate. You can record those payments, but MoeGo Pay is the integrated route.
  • Growth and above start with a demo, and no free-trial length is published.

Who MoeGo suits

Probably a good fit:

  • Mobile operators, especially with more than one van, who'll use the routing
  • Multi-location salons and franchises
  • Drop-off salons that want slot-based booking
  • Owners who want a deep marketing suite and will really use it

Probably not the best fit:

  • A solo groomer who mostly needs booking, records and reminders, and is sensitive to monthly cost
  • A single-location salon that would move to $149 a month only because it hired a third person
  • Anyone who sends a lot of client texts and hasn't yet priced the extra credits

If you land in the second group, our MoeGo alternatives page compares us feature by feature, including where MoeGo wins. You can also see other options.

Questions to ask before you sign up

  1. What do text credit packages cost, and how many credits would my typical month use?
  2. What does my plan include for route optimization, if I'm mobile?
  3. Is there an annual price, and what are the cancellation terms?
  4. What does support look like after onboarding? Is a person available, and at what hours?
  5. Can I test the mobile app on my own route before committing?

Frequently asked questions

Is MoeGo good for groomers?

Yes, for many groomers. It's grooming-specific, with deep scheduling, mobile and multi-location tools, and it holds a 4.6 App Store rating from 297 ratings. Common complaints are the cost of texts, its price for small businesses, speed on the road and inconsistent support. It suits mobile operators and multi-location salons better than cost-sensitive solo groomers.

What are the most common complaints about MoeGo?

In the App Store reviews we read, the most consistent complaint is paying for text messages, followed by the overall price. Some reviewers also report slowness in the field and support that's hard to reach. This is a small sample displayed by Apple, so use it as a list of things to ask about.

Is MoeGo's customer support good?

Reviews are split. Many users praise fast, 24/7 help, and MoeGo advertises 24/7 support. One recent long-term user said support was no longer available to them. Ask how support works after onboarding before you commit.

Is MoeGo good for mobile groomers?

It's one of its strengths. It has dedicated per-van plans, Smart Schedule and route optimization, which MoeGo lists from the $99 Growth plan. One mobile reviewer reported serious slowness in the field, so test the app in low-signal areas on your own route.

How much does MoeGo cost?

Salon plans are $79, $149 and $239 a month, and mobile plans are $49, $99 and $159 a month, with Growth and above priced per location or per van. Our MoeGo pricing breakdown covers annual costs, texts and card fees.

Is this review independent?

No. We make ThePetsMonk, which competes with MoeGo, and we haven't run a business on MoeGo. Everything here comes from MoeGo's published material and its users' public reviews, and we've linked what we could read so you can check it.
