Set Up a Customer Referral Program

Setting up a referral program allows your customers to earn rewards for referring new clients, helping you grow your business through word-of-mouth. This procedure guides you through configuring the referral program, including commission settings, new customer discounts, eligibility rules, and activating the program. Enabling a referral program can incentivize both existing and new customers, increasing engagement and bookings.

To set up a customer referral program

1. Navigate to Settings → Growth → Referral program. The referral program configuration screen appears.
2. Activate the referral program status. Additional configuration options become visible.
3. Configure the referral award. a. Choose the commission type (Percentage or Fixed amount). b. For this example, select Fixed amount. The commission type is set for customer rewards.
4. Enter the commission amount. The amount customers receive for successful referrals is specified.
5. Set the credit expiry. Define how many days customers can use their reward.
6. Configure the new customer discount. a. Choose the discount type. b. Enter the discount amount for the first booking. The discount is applied to new customers on their first booking.
7. (Optional) Set a minimum booking value for the discount. The discount only applies if the booking meets the minimum value. Note: Setting a minimum booking value can help ensure discounts are only applied to substantial bookings.
8. Set referral eligibility and limits. a. Require customers to complete at least one appointment before referring others. b. Specify the maximum number of referrals each customer can make per month. Eligibility and referral limits are enforced for the program.
9. Click Save Changes. The referral program is activated with your settings.

View Referral Code in the Customer Portal

After a customer completes their first booking, they can access their referral code in the portal. This code can be copied and shared with friends or other customers to earn rewards.

To view and share a referral code

1. Log in to the customer portal after completing the first booking. The portal dashboard appears.
2. Locate your referral code. The referral code is displayed and ready to be copied.
3. Click to copy the referral code. The code is copied to your clipboard for sharing. Note: Sharing your referral code allows you to earn rewards when friends or other customers use it for their first booking.
