Setting up vaccination requirements ensures that your pet business can track and enforce vaccine compliance for all pets. This process allows you to display vaccination status indicators in both admin and customer portals, and optionally block bookings for pets with missing or expired vaccines. Enforcing vaccination requirements helps maintain pet health and safety standards.
To set up vaccination requirements
- Click Settings in your system dashboard. The Settings menu opens.
- Navigate to Pet Configurations. The Pet Configurations screen appears.
- Select the Vaccination tab. The Vaccination settings page is displayed. Note: If the vaccination setting is turned off, vaccination status indicators will be hidden in both admin and customer portals, and bookings will not be blocked if vaccines are missing or expired.
- Click Add Vaccine Type to create a new vaccination requirement. The Add Vaccine Type form appears.
- Select all relevant pet types for each vaccine. The vaccine will apply to the selected pet types. Important: Ensure you select every pet type that requires this vaccine to avoid gaps in compliance.
- (Optional) Enable the blocking option to prevent bookings for pets that are not vaccinated. Bookings will be blocked if vaccines are missing or expired. Note: This setting ensures only vaccinated pets can be booked for services.
- Click Save to apply your changes. Your vaccination requirements are now updated and enforced according to your settings.
