Add Intake Fields for Customer First Appointment

Adding intake fields allows you to collect important information from customers during their first appointment booking. This process helps tailor services to each pet’s needs and ensures you have relevant details such as health issues, behavioral notes, and veterinarian information. Intake fields are configured in your business settings and will appear in the customer portal when booking a first appointment. Enabling intake fields streamlines information collection and improves service quality.

To add intake fields for customer first appointment

  1. Navigate to Settings in your business dashboard. The Settings menu opens, displaying various configuration options.
  2. Select Business from the Settings menu. The Business configuration section appears.
  3. Go to Pet Configuration and choose Intake Fields. The Intake Fields section displays available field options.
  4. Review the available intake field options, such as image uploads, behavior notes, health issues, first grooming requests, and veterinarian details. You see a list of fields you can enable for customer intake forms. Note: Each field collects specific information relevant to pet care and appointment preparation.
  5. Enable the fields you want customers to complete during their first appointment. The selected fields are marked as active and ready to be included in the intake form. Note: For example, you can enable behavioral notes, health issues, and veterinarian details.
  6. Click Save Changes to apply your updates. The intake fields configuration is saved and updated. Important: Changes will immediately affect the customer portal’s intake form for first appointments.
  7. (Optional) Preview the intake form as it appears to customers. You see the enabled intake fields, such as behavioral notes and health information, when entering pet details during booking. Note: Customers can select a service, choose a date, enter their name, and continue with the booking process.

Once you have enabled and saved intake fields, customers will be prompted to provide this information during their first appointment booking, helping you gather essential pet details efficiently.
