Add a Service with Variations

Adding a service with tailored variations allows you to offer specialized options based on breed, size, coat type, or other pet characteristics. This ensures clients can book services that best fit their pets’ needs and helps your business manage pricing and staff assignments efficiently. Customizing services by variation can improve customer satisfaction and streamline operations.

To add a service with variations

1. Navigate to Settings → Offerings → Services. The Services screen displays a list of all available services.
2. Click Add New Service. The Add New Service form opens. Note: You can also edit an existing service by selecting it from the list.
3. Enter the service name (e.g., Full Grooming). The service name is saved for identification.
4. Choose the appropriate category for the service. The category is assigned to the service.
5. Set the base price and duration for the service. The price and duration are recorded as defaults.
6. (Optional) Add buffer time if needed. Buffer time is included in the service schedule. Note: Buffer time can help accommodate cleaning or prep between appointments.
7. Click Next to proceed to pricing. The pricing options screen appears.
8. Set the pricing for the service. The pricing is configured for the service.
9. Click Add Variations. The variation options become available.
10. Select specific breeds, sizes, and coat types for the service. The service is tailored to the selected pet characteristics. a. Select one or more breeds. b. Choose up to three breed sizes. c. Pick relevant coat types.
11. Adjust price and duration for each variation as needed. The price and duration are customized for each variation. Note: You can keep the same price and duration, or modify them for each variant.
12. Click Add to save the variations. The variations are added to the service.
13. Choose whether to make the service available to all pets. The service availability is set based on your selection.
    • Enable the option to make the service available to all pets: The service can be booked by any pet, regardless of variations.
    • Disable the option to restrict the service to selected variants: Only pets matching your criteria can book the service. Note: For this example, keep the service limited to the specific variants chosen.
14. Click Next to continue. The staff selection screen appears.
15. Select the staff members who can provide this service. The service is assigned to the selected staff.
16. Click Create Service. The new service is created and available for booking.
